Survival Challenges

A picture of a spinosaurus next to a humanThe Spinosaurus had a few design flaws. Their spine was exposed. The sail on their backs could have helped to deter potential threats, but its spine was in a position that made it so one bad move and it could be paralyzed. Their jaws were not very useful. For example, their teeth were great for catching fish, but when it came to a fight, they were not so well-suited for other kinds of flesh. Also, their legs being as short as they were, they were good for swimming in water, but not good for long trips and particular agility. Their skulls were also not well-suited for moving side-to-side or high stress levels. This would have made lots of battles with other bipedal dinosaurs nearly impossible. For example, a T-rex would have a huge advantage against a Spinosaurus in a battle.
