What is a Spinosaurus?

A blueish green drawing of a spinosaurusAccording to The Natural History Museum, the Spinosaurus is a carnivorous dinosaur, that ate fish and maybe other dinosaurs and was found in Egypt and Morocco. It lived during the Late Cretaceous period, which was about 99-94 million years ago. It is a large theropod dinosaur, and was about 14.0m long and weighed about 7400kg. Some scientists believe it may have also lived a semi-aquatic life. Scientists have gained much more understanding of this dinosaur in recent years. We now know that it had short legs and had a wide, paddle-like tail. It is still unclear as to whether or not it walked on two legs, or all four.
